C8 Corvette OE Style Hood Dry Carbon Fiber
This OE-replacement dry carbon fiber hood features a matte finish achieved through an autoclave process with 3K, 2×2 twill carbon fiber cloth. It mounts with OE hardware, is hand crafted and weighs approximately 9 lbs. (O.E. hood weighs 15.7 lbs.), and requires hood pins for safety. A heat shield is also necessary and Anderson Composites does not suggest installing aftermarket gas shocks/dampers/struts. Lastly, the use of a hood prop rod is highly recommended.
Note: Our DRY carbon does not have UV protection, it is recommended to have it coated with an automotive grade clear coat with UV inhibitors if you do not plan to paint or wrap the hood.
