C8 Corvette GT Hood Dry Carbon Fiber
Designed with endurance racing-style vents, That open to non trunk area under the hood and constructed from lightweight, top-grade 3K, 2×2 twill carbon fiber cloth, the C8 Corvette GT Hood Dry Carbon Fiber offers a matte finish. Installs with original equipment hardware for secure mounting, the hood weighs in at about 9 lbs. (by comparison, the OEM hood weighs 15.7 lbs.), Hood pins and a heat shield are required for safety. Finally, Anderson Composites does not suggest installing aftermarket gas shocks/dampers/struts, and the use of a hood prop rod is advised.
Note: Our DRY carbon does not have UV protection, it is recommended to have it coated with an automotive grade clear coat with UV inhibitors if you do not plan to paint or wrap the hood.
